Each cabin at Ascent is designed with comfortable privacy in mind. Inside, you’ll find shades and room dividers that allow you to create privacy as needed.
The cabins are arranged with privacy in mind, with placement and orientation that help minimize direct views between units. While you won’t feel completely isolated, the layout ensures guests don’t feel crowded and can enjoy the natural surroundings without intrusive sightlines.
Together, the shades, room dividers, and thoughtful layout provide a balanced level of privacy throughout your stay.
-
Each unit is accessed by a 3–8 minute walk along wooded pathways. This is intentional to preserve the secluded, nature‑immersive experience. All paths are loose gravel.
-
Each stay at Ascent highlights a different part of the landscape.
Mirrored Units offer a cliffside vantage overlooking the Meadow River Valley.
Halo Pods and the Chalet are nestled in wooded forest surroundings, giving guests a more nature‑immersed feel.
Every unit connects you to the environment in its own way, so you can choose the view that best matches the experience you’re looking for.
-
Yes. Ascent sits on 44 private acres, and we’re actively developing a network of on‑property trails for guests to enjoy. Our first marked path, the Waterfall Trail, will be ready before opening. Over time, we plan to add four to five main trails, including a route that leads toward the Meadow River.
Guests are welcome to explore the property freely — including hiking, scrambling, or repelling — at their own risk. Ascent’s terrain is natural and rugged, so we encourage guests to use caution and stay aware of their surroundings while adventuring.
Cabins & Amenities
-
Ascent is designed to blend comfort with an immersive natural experience. Each unit includes a wood‑burning hot tub and a private lounge area with a fire pit, giving guests a cozy place to unwind after a day of exploring. Outside of these features, the focus of every stay is the surrounding landscape itself — quiet, scenic, and intentionally preserved to feel connected to nature.
-
Yes — Wi‑Fi is available throughout the property. Because Ascent is located in a remote, heavily wooded area, cell service and internet strength may vary depending on your carrier, your specific unit location, and other natural factors. Most guests are able to stay connected when needed, but we encourage everyone to expect a more nature‑forward experience with occasional fluctuations in signal.

At Ascent, we are intentionally pet-free. Our vision is to offer a refined wilderness retreat where guests can fully disconnect, unwind, and enjoy a rare sense of peace. Given our natural setting and wild neighbors, limiting the property to human guests help us maintain the serene environment and elevated experience that makes Ascent unique.
We like to say that our wilderness comes with plenty of wildlife sightings already, so there’s no need to bring additional members of the animal kingdom along. -
Ascent is a natural, rugged environment, and we want guests to enjoy it safely. Each unit is reached by a 3–8 minute walk along a gravel path, and the terrain off‑trail includes cliffside areas, uneven ground, and sections that may become unstable. Some hiking routes may cross shallow water or wet rock, depending on conditions.
Wildlife encounters are possible anywhere on the property. All guests should review and follow the safety instructions provided in your check‑in information, as they’re designed to help you navigate the land responsibly.
Guests are welcome to hike, explore, or repel at their own risk. Ascent by Unwind is not liable for accidents or damage to personal property.
-
Yes. Ascent offers a communal grilling area for guests who want to cook outdoors. Each unit includes a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave. Our Mirrored Units also include a two‑burner stovetop in the kitchenette.
-
Unfortunately, due to natural terrain, wooded pathways, and cliffside placement, Ascent is not fully ADA accessible.
